Enabling every child to be the best version of themselves

How do we ensure children perform as well as others and monitor pupil progress?

We know our children well and provide a range of provision for all pupils across a universal, targeted and specialist level. By ensuring children’s provision is adjusted and suitable to meet their needs we can confidently monitor the impact of interventions and support to ensure children make progress. To monitor this we use a range of methods including pupil interviews, scaling and self-reflection, AET and Boxall tools, various questionnaires and assessments linked to intervention programmes, small step data including reading and spelling ages and language and early literacy skill assessments.

We carefully monitor pupil progress for those pupils’ working significantly behind their peers in reading, writing and maths through use of B Squared small step assessment data in order to celebrate individual pupil successes.
