It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to Dickens Heath Community Primary School.

Ours is a highly successful and popular school which enjoys a long-standing tradition for being inclusive, ambitious, open, friendly and caring.  As a community school, at the heart of the village, we consider ourselves to be a family and have built our school ethos and vision on the values of respect, trust, honesty, positivity and co-operation.

Our values are the foundation for how we work together, how we support children’s development and progress in all areas of the curriculum, and how we nurture relationships and personal development.

We aspire great things for our children and promote excellence, not only in core subjects, but also through a wide range of rich experiences which enhance learning in the National Curriculum and beyond.  Invested in the whole child, we teach responsibility and resilience, nurture emotional intelligence, encourage ambition and achievement, promote creativity and a love of knowledge and celebrate hard work and kindness. This we believe equips our children with the necessary skills to be ‘life-ready’ and to go on to be successful, confident young people of the future, who strive to be the best version of themselves. This is why we exist as a school; this is our purpose.
