Dickens Heath Community Primary School

Enabling every child to be the best version of themselves

Safeguarding Overview

Meet the Safeguarding Team

At Dickens Heath Community Primary School, the safeguarding of our children is the highest priority. We believe that children and young people should never experience abuse of any kind. Everyone has a responsibility to promote the welfare of all children and young people, to keep them safe and to ensure that through policy and procedure, children are protected.

We aim:

  • to ensure that children within our school feel safe at all times
  • to ensure that all stakeholders are safe and feel that they are able to put the welfare of the children first
  • to ensure that all adults who have contact with children in school have been properly vetted and cleared as suitable to work and support children in our school.
  • to ensure that all adults who have contact with children in school have been trained to undertake their safeguarding responsibilities effectively
